The City of Tucson is seeking proposals from qualified firms and individuals to provide Polygraph Testing and Employee Examination Services for the Tucson Police Department on an as-needed, if-needed basis. To provide adequate Contract coverage, the City may make multiple awards as a result of this solicitation. In addition, the City anticipates the cooperative use of this contract by other Southern Arizona area public safety agencies. The Tucson Police Department (TPD) requires the services of a polygrapher for various purposes including the testing of candidates for employment, the re-testing of candidates when deemed necessary, as well as the occasional testing of current employees. Historically, TPD completes 3-4 hiring processes per year with an average of 100-200 candidates proceeding to the polygraph stage of the process.
