Consultant to review existing planning documents and their key takeaways and impact to parks and recreation in Buckeye. These plans include: i. 2016 City of Buckeye Parks and Recreation Master Plan ii. 2018 City of Buckeye General Plan Imagine Buckeye 2040. All mapping to use the most current General Plan Land Use Map. iii. Commission for the Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) through the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA). iv. 2019 City of Buckeye Active Transportation Plan v. 2019 City of Buckeye Transportation Plan vi. 2019 El Rio District Area Plan vii. 2016 City of Buckeye, et al. El Rio Design Guidelines and Planning Standards viii. Flood Control District Studies -Sun Valley Area Drainage Master Plan (in process) and Buckeye Area Drainage Master Plan ix. 2023 Downtown Specific Area Plan (draft) x. Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Master Plan – Parks Vision 2030 (in process) xi. 2018 CAZCA Regional Open Space Plan xii. 2023 City of Buckeye Low Impact Development Manual (draft) xiii. Wildlife Corridors Best Management Practice Guide (2021) 2. Buckeye Population Growth and Demographics Gather community demographics, analyze population characteristics, and review population projections as they relate to the demand for future parks and recreation facilities. 3. Goals and Guiding Principles for the Plan Consultant to work with Council, City Management, staff and stakeholders to identify the goals and principles that will set the stage for the planning process, citizen engagement and prioritization of plan elements/programming and implementation and decision making.
