PURCHASE DESCRIPTION: To provide parts for the repair and maintenance of equipment used in the treatment processes at two of the three City wastewater treatment plants. Due to the current ages of the systems, some locations in the treatment process, such as aeration basins, may require custom manufacturing of the required parts. PROPOSED SOLE SOURCE SUPPLIER: PARKSON CORPORATION; JUSTIFICATION FOR THE SOLE/SINGLE SOURCE NONCOMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT: Parkson, through its acquisition in February of 2021, is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Scheiber parts installed in two of the three City Wastewater Treatment plants. As such, they are the only supplier for these parts in the State of Arizona, which is especially important as a number of the required replacement parts must be custom manufactured.
