4.1. Work Details 4.1.1. The Contractor shall email a schedule of the incremental repairs to the Central District Roadway Contracts Supervisor, so that all work can be completed at the end of each shift or workday. 4.1.2. At no time shall the Contractor leave a work location at the end of a work period with the scheduled incremental work incomplete or with materials, equipment, debris, or traffic control and safety devices left at the job site. 4.1.3. All scheduled Cable Barrier repairs and resets shall be replaced for the entire run (complete cable system from end-anchor to end-anchor, inclusive). 4.1.4. The Department shall, at all times, alert the Contractor by email of new accident caused Cable Barrier damage. In all cases, the Contractor shall complete repairs within five (5) business days of notification. 4.2. Work Schedule 4.2.1. The Contractor shall perform routine inspection and maintenance, repairs and resetting of cable barrier and related activities, on business days between the daytime hours of 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and between the evening and early morning hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. 4.2.2. The Contractor shall not perform or schedule work during peak travel hours, or when sporting events or special downtown activities take place, unless specifically directed by the Department. 4.2.3. The Contractor shall perform weekly routine inspection and maintenance on all Cable Barriers by driving the length of cable. 4.3. CASS Cable – Weekly Inspection & Maintenance 4.3.1. Each length of CASS Cable Barrier median and shoulder barrier shall be inspected weekly by driving the length of the cable barrier median. The Contractor shall perform repair maintenance at the time of the inspection. This shall be documented on the CASS Cable Barrier Daily Work Report, Exhibit 7. 4.3.2. Resets and other repair activities shall be scheduled at the time of inspection and noted on the CASS Cable Barrier Daily Work Report. 4.3.3. Tension inspections shall be performed per the CASS manufacturer’s Cable Tension Inspection Program. 4.3.4. The accepted quantities shall be measured and paid for by the week and shall include all labor, equipment, and materials to inspect and repair the Cable Barrier system as stated in the specifications.
