The successful vendor will provide all parts, equipment, supplies, service, labor and necessary materials for any and all plumbing and piping work as directed by the School District. The vendor must be licensed by the State of Arizona and able to provide experienced journeyman plumbers for any work required. Examples of the work include, but are not limited to, installing plumbing fixtures, installing new piping, and troubleshooting and repairing plumbing systems as necessary. Work may involve water, sewer or natural gas systems, piping, or fixtures. 1) REPAIRS a) An emergency repair is any situation that is a threat to life or safety or any cause substantial property damage. The Facilities Director shall make the determination as to whether a situation is an emergency. Immediate remedy may be of a temporary nature only if that remedy meets the approval of the Facilities Director. b) All work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. The Contractor shall obtain, maintain and pay for all necessary permits required to complete the work. Failure to do so shall constitute grounds for contract termination. 2) RESPONSE TIME AND RESPONSIBILITY a) The contractor shall respond to a routine call within two working days and to an emergency call within one and one half (1.5) hours of notification. Notification shall be defined as the time at which the School District Representative notifies the contractor in any of the following ways: in person, by telephone to an employee, by answering service, by answering machine or any other means of contact agreed upon by the School District and the Contractor. The Contractor shall be deemed to have responded when the Contractor or the Contractor’s personnel arrive onsite. b) The School District reserves the right to randomly audit consecutive response times to determine whether Contractor is performing within these guidelines. Failure to meet these response times may result in termination of the contract. 3) WORKMANSHIP a) The Contractor will perform all work in strict accordance with all applicable codes and standards. All work shall be accomplished by personnel experienced with applicable codes and standards.
