Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1. Snow Removal 4.1.1. Specific location or area to relocate plowed snow and ice must be approved by the Department’s designated representative (Exhibit 3) at each location. 4.1.2. When snowfall is present, the Contractor will begin plowing the snow from all areas, using the fastest method possible, relocating snow to the area designated by the Department’s representative (Exhibit 3). 4.1.3. The Contractor shall remove all snow and ice present in the following areas: parking lot, test tracks, walkways, sidewalks entryways, property entrance, fire lanes, and city sidewalk adjacent to property. 4.1.4. The Contractor shall utilize all necessary equipment (Front End Loader, Skidsteer, Backhoe..ect.) to accomplish the assigned task of snow removal when plowing/shoveling/blowing. A Bobcat shall not be used on any Department property. 4.1.5. The Contractor shall not create drifts in front of dumpster enclosures, fire lanes, entrances, on sidewalks, or blocking walkways. 4.1.6. The Contractor must keep all fire hydrants free from snow and easily accessible in case of emergencies. 4.1.7. The Contractor shall utilize cinder spreading and/or ice melting substance on all walkways, sidewalks and in front of entryways when appropriate and/or necessary to avoid slips, trips and falls. Once snow has melted, cinders must be removed or be swept into the existing decorative rock areas. 4.1.8. Cinders must not be swept onto roadways.
