The Department has an ongoing need for Mobile and Handheld Retroreflectometers and Calibration services. The Department uses these devices to ensure road markings and reflective sign materials meet the standards established by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for reflective road markings and signs, focusing on minimum retroreflectivity levels for pavement markings and requiring the use of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) for traffic signs. This RFI is being issued to understand the types of products available in the marketplace which can perform such measurements. We are also interested in identifying industry standards, pricing structure, supplier offerings and suppliers capacity to perform calibration service on a regular basis.
