4.1. Work Details 4.1.1. The Contractor shall be responsible for pick up and legal disposal of debris within the specified locations. Service areas include the curbs, shoulders, turnouts, gore points, intersections, and bridges along the mainline. Debris is defined as any object not made part of the roadway by ADOT, its Contractor, or Permittees. Such debris shall include, but not limited to: dust, sand, soil, paper, bricks, blocks, boards, cans, rubber, metal, fruit, vegetation, tires, containers and rocks. 4.1.2. Any part of the roadway that has separated from the road bed shall be considered debris and reported to the Department verbally. Examples are asphalt or concrete spalls. 4.1.3. The Contractor is responsible for cleaning up any spills created by equipment failure or by transfer of materials.
