Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Arizona State Mine Inspector (ASMI) intends to contract with a vendor to inventory and mitigate abandoned mine features identified by ASMI abandoned mine supervisors within three different map areas Map 1: Quartzsite T5N-R20W with multiple sections T4N-R20W T3N-R20W (La Paz County) Map 2 North Granite Wash Mtns. T6N-R14W T6N-R15W with multiple sections (La Paz) Map 3 West Harquahale Mtns T5N-R12W T5N-R11W multiple setions (La Paz and Maricopa counties) located within Maricopa and La Paz County. This individual is required but not limited to background in both construction and environmental areas. Knowledge with the environmental effects of hazardous substances that are related to mining operations, understand the geographical location systems in Arizona, skills in map reading which include both topographic and land status mapping, knowledge of basic mapping techniques including Global Position Satellite (GPS), ability to operate a motor vehicle in four wheel drive mode on extreme terrain and knowledge of dessert survival. The contractor must have a contractors license with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. The license be a minimum of an L-14 Fencing (installation and repair of metal, wood , and cement block fencing, including highway guard rails, cattle guards, and low voltage U.L. approved electrical fence protective devices of less than 25 volts and 100 watts, when required to properly install fencing). Abandoned mine supervisors will coordinate activities in the field with the awarded contractor. The contractor will be responsible for providing labor, meals, lodging, and transportation to the service area and mine features necessary to perform the physical securing of abandoned mines. Contractors equipment and materials (see items listed below) will be provided by ASMI. The contractor shall complete on-the-ground reconnaissance and mitigation of the areas identified by ASMI abandoned mines supervisors for confirmation of the presence or absence of mine features. The contractor shall secure all features identified by ASMI and coordinate the mitigation of unsecured mines via fencing and signage. The contractor shall accomplish all work under this contract according to all applicable Federal, State, local laws and regulations. Also, the contractor shall comply with all Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Standards. If there is a conflict between these regulations and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations and specifications of this Scope of Work, the more stringent requirements shall prevail, to ensure that there is compliance with all regulations.
