Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. 1. Contractor Requirements 1.1. Contractor shall be certified by Phoenix Controls in: 1.1.1. Phoenix Controls’ Sales and Applications. 1.1.2. Start-up, testing, and troubleshooting for all Phoenix Controls’ products. 2. Contractor Responsibilities 2.1. The Contractor shall provide technicians with intimate knowledge and expertise in Phoenix Control valves ventilation system to evaluate the performance of the ASPHL ventilation system and generate a monthly inspection report. The testing and inspection services include, but are not limited to the following: 2.1.1. Verify that each fume hood is being controlled at the design flow volume and adjust as required. 2.1.2. Check each sash sensor physical condition and operation and adjust as required. 2.1.3. Verify the proper operation of each fume hood monitor and adjust as required. 2.1.4. Verify the proper operation of each fume hood exhaust valve and adjust as required. 2.1.5. Verify the proper operation of tracking supply air valves and adjust as required. 2.1.6. Check wire connections and terminations at the fume hood. 2.1.7. Check AC and DC voltage level and power supply conditions. 2.1.8. Verify operation of Phoenix Controls server and add new system updates, including software if available. 2.1.9. Check static pressure upstream and static pressure drop across fume hood exhaust, general exhaust and supply air valves. 2.1.10. Verify that each fume hood’s average face velocity is a minimum of 100 feet per minute (FPM) or as directed by ADHS and adjust average face velocity as required. 2.1.11. Verify system mechanisms maintain appropriate negative room pressurization and adjust as required. 2.1.12. Ensure all devices are online and communication are working between the building automation system (BAS).
