Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Sierra Vista is soliciting proposals from qualified companies to provide ICE RINK RENTAL for a contract term with an operation period of December 1, 2023 through January 2, 2024. The award will be for a base year plus four (4) option years. The City will negotiate with the awarded vendor for option years 2-5 as each option is enacted. . The tear down process may begin on January 3rd, 2024. We are requesting interested vendors to supply a recommended timeline for installation, setup, and tear down to meet the operational timeline. The city will showcase the rink as a main attraction to its residents, the region, and the state of Arizona to attract visitors to our holiday festivities. The City of Sierra Vista encourages small and minority businesses, women's business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms to participate. The purpose of the rink will be to act as an attraction during the holiday season for local families to enjoy while attracting visitors to the area during the holiday season who will support our local retail, hospitality, and bar/restaurant establishments. There is no other ice rink like this in the area and we are already receiving requests to see it come back again. Our city staff will operate the rink during posted hours during the entire month of December through January 2, 2024. We will begin taking reservations for use beginning on December 1, 2023. Our Christmas Event layout is flexible, and we are looking for a partner to work together with us in order to come up with a solution that would maximize the desired atmosphere of the space. The included map shows that the event location has over 2,200 square feet of usable space. A desired location would stay near the Centennial Pavilion, as that is where our electrical supply is located. That area is located on the northwest side of the map. We will work with the successful firm in identifying the best location.
