Specifications include, but are not limited to: The main effort of Phase I of the park improvements will include two lighted multi-use fields, eight pickleball courts, ramadas, restroom buildings, a creative and adventurous play area, multi-purpose turf area, a lighted food truck plaza, and associated parking areas. If additional funding is approved Phase II may include an additional lighted multi-use field, a lighted mini-pitch area, pollinator garden and exploration path, dog park, maintenance facility, two-acre dog park, and an additional parking area. In 2021 the City hired a consulting firm to develop a Glendale Heroes Regional Park Master Plan. The Master Plan outlined the park amenities listed above. All these facilities will be linked to create a complete campus-like setting.
