The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, Property and Procurement Services (PPS), Incident Procurement Operations (IPO) intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) in support of seven (7) National Incident Support Caches. Subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The Resultant contract, if any, will be a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) purchase order.
In accordance with FAR 5.202, the contracting officer has determined that the proposed contract action is made under the conditions described in 6.302-2(a)(2), unusual and compelling urgency.
The USDA Forest Service (FS) has a requirement for commercial items, hazardous materials (HAZMAT). The places of deliveries are ESTIMATED 7 CACHES (warehouses) which will be identified in the RFQ. Oversight for this requirement will be Prescott, AZ.

This requirement is for Aerial Ignition spheres (Dragon Egg or salient characteristics) that are described as follows:

They contain a high-grade potassium permanganate powder and, when injected with glycol, cause a chemical reaction and a 20-40 second delayed ignition, depending on ambient temperature.
Unit of sale is by the case with each case containing 1,000 spheres.
TERMS OF DELIVERY: June 16, 2023 or 30 days from award.
