The intent of this contract and specifications is to obtain a source(s) for repair of damaged guardrail, replacement of outdated guardrail, or replacement of guardrail that is out of specification, as deemed by Yavapai County. It is expected that this contract will be awarded to multiple vendors. The work shall consist of the repair, installation, or removal of guardrail in accordance with: Arizona Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, rev. 1990 and all subsequent revisions thereto. Arizona Department of Transportation, Standard Construction Drawings and Details, rev. 1994 and all subsequent revisions thereto. Maricopa Association of Governments, Uniform Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, rev. 1992, and all subsequent revisions thereto. Maricopa Association of Governments, Uniform Standard Details for Public Works Construction, rev. 1979, and all subsequent revisions thereto. Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) Part VI. All bid items shall conform to the most up to date ADOT Standard Specifications, 2018 MASH Standard Specifications, or manufacturer’s drawings. Material: All materials shall be in accordance with the ADOT Standard Specifications or MAG Standards as specified. Surface finish (galvanized or weathering steel) of repaired or replaced guardrail components including posts, hardware and rail shall match the surface finish of the components being replaced.
