Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Design and construction services for the deployment of a Private FTTP Network to all residential and commercial facilities in the Town, as well as Town and other government facilities, to be designed, constructed, and deployed at no cost to the Town. Given the Town’s size, the timing and costs to deploy a Town-wide network, the Town will consider responses that propose to phase the deployment of the network over a reasonably attainable period of time. Such proposals shall include the proposed phases and projected timeline to complete each phase.; • The Town is seeking a firm to design and construct a Town-wide fiber broadband network consisting of conduit and fiber.; • In areas of new/on-going development, the fiber installation shall be part of a non-exclusive utility easement to the home or business.; • In areas of already existing/built development, the fiber shall be installed as close as possible to the home or business, while staying in the public right-of-way or utility easement.; • The selected firm(s) will be responsible for, at its sole cost, securing and maintaining all easements necessary to install and operate the network to facilities, to a demarcation point agreed upon between the selected firm(s) and the Town.; • The selected firm(s) shall secure all the necessary utility, irrigation, and railroad crossing permits or use of easement permits at its own cost.; • The selected firm(s) shall be responsible for all traffic control design and work in the rightof-way permitting.; • The selected firm(s) shall maintain and upgrade the Private FTTP Network and all equipment at its own cost.; • Aerial fiber installations will not be permitted.
