Specifications include, but are not limited to: information from innovative companies interested in building fiber infrastructure to all City facilities as well as deploying fiber to the premises in all or part of the City. The information provided should not exceed 25 pages. CITY GOALS The City desires to achieve the following goals in the most innovative, efficient, cost-effective, and least-disruptive manner: • Construction of conduit and fiber that is City-owned to all City facilities, traffic signals, and water infrastructure. • A citywide FTTP network that passes every premises within the City. • Continued growth and investment in the network as new neighborhoods are built in the City. • Network wide minimum 1 Gbps symmetrical internet service availability to each premise, with the ability to upgrade to faster speeds in the future. • Affordable high speed internet service offerings (at least 100 Mbps symmetrical or FCC broadband minimum, whichever is greater) to qualifying households across the network to close the digital divide. • “Open access” network in all or parts of the City, that could be leased by multiple providers. This would be an ideal model, although the City recognizes this may not be commercially feasible any time in the near future.
