The Downtown Campus Reinvestment Project consists of design and remodeling of existing pubic civic facilities (interior and exterior), open spaces, outdoor amphitheater and parking structure. The intended location for this commission is on the south building façade of the City Hall building, facing Glendale Avenue (see rendering in Exhibit A. The selected artist(s) will be expected to work with the City, the architect of record and stakeholders to create a meaningful art piece that will enhance the beauty of this newly renovated building as well as compliment and enhance the identity of the surrounding community. Artwork must be suitable for public display, avoid political statements and be crafted from durable materials designed to withstand the desert environment.
