Specifications include, but are not limited to: All services shall be performed by qualified, experienced, certified technicians and personnel. Prior to performing any work, disable the foam releasing system. Notify the fire department that releasing system is going to be disabled. Perform and complete all work simultaneously and in accordance with all applicable OEM equipment installation specifications, industry and best practice specifications, standards, and or state and/or local government specifications and/or regulations, contract terms and conditions and any Air National Guard supplied specifications. Contractor is responsible for protecting the existing facility, utilities and equipment in the work area and any damage shall be repaired at the contractor’s expense. All construction debris shall be removed at the contractor’s expense and the site and laydown area shall be returned to pre-construction conditions. Contractor shall perform modifications to the existing Hangar Fire Suppression System. The work consists of three main items. Reprogramming/reconfiguring the foam releasing panel, replacing the manual foam releasing stations and modifying the conduits serving them, installing a Surge Protection Device (SPD) on the foam releasing panel (also referred to as TVSS) and providing HVAC in the mechanical room/foam releasing panel location.
