3.1 Group Home Residential Shelter Placement – This service is to provide an emergency, short-term stable environment designed to assist the child(ren) in stabilizing and assess the child(ren)’s level of functioning to assist in the determination of the most appropriate long-term caregiver; actively aiding the child(ren)’s transition to the next living arrangement. 3.2 Group Home Residential Placement – This service is designed to maintain the child(ren)’s level of functioning by following the personalized service plan and facilitating services identified in the case plan to help the child(ren) transition to a lessrestrictive level of care, when kinship or foster home placement is not available. This group home will provide access to treatment and therapies, address and remediate specific behaviors and challenges; this placement may restrict ages and genders of children with whom they can be placed and interact with. Facilitate the child(ren)’sreturn to a constructive community, family life or independent living; and prevent a child(ren) from entering or returning to the Juvenile and/or Adult Justice systems.
