Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The installer shall meet the qualification requirements of Cochise County including those specified in the bid document. 2. The installation shall comply with all applicable codes and standards adopted by Cochise County. If conflict exists between the code and the manufacturer’s specifications, apply the more restrictive requirement. 3. Perform load calculation which should include a 40 amp breaker and 240 volts for a mini split HVAC system that will be installed in 2024. 4. Verify current electrical panel is in good condition, compliant with codes, and of sufficient electrical capacity (Amps). If necessary, install new electrical panel. 5. Install new breakers in panel, if needed. 6. Design the size of the PV system to serve the prescribed load. a, Provide list of all equipment. b. Prepare electrical one-line drawing. c. Prepare layout drawing. 7. Design PV system lay-out to provide safe access around PV modules as required by code and standards. 8. Install inverters and disconnects in a safe and accessible location. Inverter shall be located in the shade when specified by manufacturer’s instructions. 9. Install solar panels on the mounting structures according to manufacturer’s instructions. 10. Install batteries. 11. Install all electrical components according to Cochise County code. 12. Fasten wires with wire ties and conduit as per design and installation instructions. 13. Perform electrical tests and verify proper operation and system performance. 14. Tests include open circuit voltage, operating current, resistance grounding system (should be <25 ohms) and resistance of electrical insulation (should be > 1megohm). 15. Measured voltage shall be compared to reference voltage corrected for temperature. Measured current shall be compared to reference current corrected for insolation (sunlight level). 16. Clean job site of construction waste. Permanently remove all waste materials from job site and recycle or dispose of removed materials in accordance with local, state, and federal law. 17. The PV modules and inverter shall be warranted by the manufacturer. 18. The whole system shall be warranted by the installer for a period of at least one year. 19. The warranty shall cover defects in materials and workmanship. 20. Provide homeowner’s user’s manual, warranty information, installation instructions, and installer’s contact information.
