Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City is seeking information from potential future partners who, through the installation and operation of a citywide FTTP network, can help achieve the following goals in the most innovative, efficient, cost-effective, and least-disruptive manner: A citywide FTTP network that passes every premise within the City. Continued growth and investment in the network as new neighborhoods are built in the City. Network wide minimum 1 Gbps symmetrical internet service availability to each premise, with the ability to upgrade to faster speeds in the future. City access to and unrestricted governmental use of the full citywide fiber network at zero cost to the City. Affordable high speed internet service offerings (at least 100 Mbps symmetrical or FCC broadband minimum, whichever is greater) to qualifying households across the network to close the digital divide. Respondents should expect that the proposed FTTP network will follow standard City agreements, fee schedules, and permitting processes. The City is willing to discuss a single POC / integrated process for permitting and expedited permitting where possible.
