• The Operator shall provide a sufficient number of employees to provide prompt and efficient service. • The employees must be neat and clean and must maintain a friendly, cooperative and respectful attitude at all times. The City reserves the right to have any employee removed temporarily or permanently for reasonable cause. • The Operator shall be responsible for all cleaning and housekeeping required for the operation, including the kitchen area, dining area, outdoor patio and washrooms. • The Operator shall provide service in compliance with all requirements of the Maricopa County Health Department and maintain an “A” rating • The Operator shall provide service in compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations and shall remain current in payment of all applicable taxes. • The Operator may market their services for events, such as parties or meetings, at MCH or the City Campus. • The Operator will ensure proper care for the City facility. • Food and drinks served shall be fresh and current (not past expiration). • The Operator will provide necessary maintenance and cleaning of equipment to provide this service. • Vending services are NOT part of this scope of work. • No alcohol or tobacco products shall be sold at this location. • If the current operator is not the successful respondent to this Request for Proposals, the City will work with the current operator and the Operator to develop a transition plan. • The City reserves the right to restrict the sale of any item that it, in its sole discretion, does not deem appropriate. • A representative of the City will meet with the Operator to review and discuss any issues or concerns on no less than a quarterly basis. • The City will not subsidize the café’s services. • The Operator must be properly licensed to transact business and be current in payment of all related tax obligations. • The Operator will be responsible for a Point of Sale (POS) system, phone line, etc. • The City will provide utilities like electric, gas, water, etc. • The Operator will be responsible for any Government Property Lease Excise Tax as part of the lease agreement. • Hours of use: Monday – Sunday – 24/7 • No sublease of space • Allowable Use of Space: Food Preparation and Dining for normal business hours, Catering (to include all food preparation – before, during, and after hours), Food Truck Preparation.
