Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Sedona and the Arts and Culture Coordinator announce a major exterior public art competition seeking professional artists. One artist or team of artists, which includes artists from multiple disciplines, will be selected per roundabout, via a competition for this opportunity to receive a commission to create artwork for one of three roundabout locations at the intersections of: State Route 179 and Canyon Drive, Morgan Road or Chapel Road. Artists may design for a preferred roundabout location, but placement will ultimately be decided by the Arts & Culture Committee. Art for the Canyon Drive roundabout should be designed to coexist with the existing tree at this location. Proposals must not exceed $65,000 for each roundabout location. Installations should begin to occur in the early part of 2023.
