The City of Surprise is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified engineering firms to provide the professional design of the Rancho Gabriella Water Supply Facility Expansion Project, issued by the Water Resources Management department. The Rancho Gabriella facility, located at Water Works Way and Cactus Road, is a critical component of the City’s potable water system, serving residential and commercial customers in the surrounding area. As part of the City’s ongoing commitment to ensuring safe, reliable and affordable water, this project will expand the facility’s capacity and treatment capabilities to meet current and future demands. The planned improvements include the design of a third above-ground storage tank and the expansion of the existing arsenic treatment system. The selected firm will be responsible for preparing complete design documents, including plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permitting support, to facilitate future construction of the improvements. The City anticipates that the project will require close coordination with City staff, regulatory agencies, and utility stakeholders to ensure constructability, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. Firms responding to this RFQu should demonstrate extensive experience in the design of municipal water storage and treatment facilities, particularly those involving arsenic removal technologies and system expansion within an operating facility.
