Grantee shall: 3.1. Have relevant experience in providing evidence-based services and assistance to schools, early care institutions, or producers for one or more of the pillars of Farm to School: 3.1.1. Procurement: Local foods are purchased, promoted and served in the cafeteria or as a snack or taste-test; 3.1.2. School gardens: Students engage in hands-on learning through gardening; and 3.1.3. Education: Students participate in educational activities related to agriculture, food, health or nutrition. 3.2. Outline and deliver a service or technical assistance plan intended to: 3.2.1. Increase local purchasing capacity for schools and institutions operating Child Nutrition Programs; and/or 3.2.2. Provide local food promotional activities and/or nutrition and agriculture education for participating children in CNPs; and/or 3.2.3. Strengthen connections and integration of Farm to School and ECE activities statewide. 3.3. Establish the expected reach of the service or technical assistance plan within the state of Arizona. Grantees must adhere to the identified service area scope for the duration of the grant’s period of performance. 3.4. Participate in ADE’s All-Grantee Kick-off Meeting for Arizona Farm to School Services and Assistance Grants to present an overview of the services or technical assistance plan and work in partnership with the Arizona Department of Education for the advancement of Farm to NSLP and Farm to CACFP activities in Arizona.
