The Arizona Area Health Education Centers (AzAHEC) Program is calling for proposals from entities interested in administering the AHEC Regional Center serving the central Arizona counties of Maricopa, Pinal and sections of Yavapai Counties (i.e., areas denoted in pink on map.) The successful applicant will join the other existing AzAHEC regional centers in serving all 15 Arizona counties and 22 tribes in developing new and enhancing existing programs while furthering federal, state, tribal, higher education and community interests addressing health care workforce opportunities. This award is for an initial 12-month period of 7/1/25-6/30/26. Following the initial term, there is the option for four annual non-competing continuation renewals upon mutual agreement by both the Applicant and Arizona AHEC. Each renewal will require a Proposed Workplan and Budget Development for each one-year period and may require additional documentation. At the end of the fifth year, a new RFP for the region will be issued broadly and in compliance with State of Arizona guidelines.
