1. Utility Locate Services: Digging/excavation will be in accordance with Chapter 556, Florida Statutes, "Underground Facility Damage Prevention and Safety Act"; additionally, for each location the vendor will verify utilities through "soft dig" excavation for each location. In the event of utility conflicts, in coordination with the DIA project manager, alternative location(s) will be identified. 2. Graphic Design & Engineering: The graphic design of all LaVilla Heritage Trail signs is complete and should be fabricated accordingly. However, the DIA understands that the selected firm will be responsible for the design engineering necessary to finalize material selection, structural integrity, and installation methods. We also understand that the designs must be adapted for compatibility with the selected firm's fabrication process and production software. While minor adjustments may be required to accommodate fabrication constraints, all sign designs must adhere as closely as possible to the final layout, copy, fonts, and color palette provided in Appendix C. Any deviations due to material limitations, fabrication methods, or installation requirements must be reviewed and approved by the DIA prior to implementation. Additionally, the selected firm must ensure that all markers are designed for durability, weather resistance, and long-term stability in their designated locations. The engineering process should consider factors such as wind load, structural support, and appropriate mounting methods to ensure the signs remain secure and legible over time.
