SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION ABOUT PRICING, DELIVERY, THE MARKET, AND CAPABILITIES IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED AND ALLOWED UNDER THIS RFI FOR PLANNING PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) FAR 15.201(e). All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. SOURCES SOUGHT/RFI DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought Notice / RFI only. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice / RFI is to gain information about potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 339113 (size standard of 800 Employees). Responses to this Sources Sought Notice / RFI will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought Notice / RFI, further RFIs and/or a solicitation or other announcements may be published. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking sources capable of providing wheelchair scales and height rods equivalent to Detecto. CLIN ITEM DESCRIPTION QTY UOM 0001 Detecto #7550-AC Wall-Mount Fold-Up Digital Wheelchair Scale or equal 5 EA 0002 Detecto Wall-Mount Digital Height Rod #DHRWM or equal 5 EA SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS CLIN 0001 Detecto #7550-AC Wall-Mount Fold-Up Digital Wheelchair Scale or equal Quantity: 5EA Must have a fold-up design to minimize its footprint and maximize floor space ideal for high traffic areas and smaller spaces. Must be able to hold a minimum of 1000 lbs making it suitable for many patients accommodating those with larger wheelchairs. Must allow for easy tare of wheelchair weight, ensuring accurate patient weight measurement. Must have LCD touchscreen to clearly display weight readings and provide access to various functions like BMI calculation and wheelchair tare. Must have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for Electronic Medical Record/Electronic Health Record (EMR/EHR) integration. Must have gas spring mechanism for easy platform lowering. Must have a two-way access ramp and a low platform height of no more than 1.5 inches facilitate easy patient entry and exit. Must be made of sturdy steel material and feature a textured, non-skid mat on the platform and ramps for extra durability and patient safety. Must have a StableSENSE feature or similar to help minimize the effects of patient movement, ensuring accurate weight readings. Must be able to be powered by C batteries or an option AC adapter. CLIN 0002 Detecto Wall-Mount Digital Height Rod #DHRWM or equal Quantity: 5EA Must be able to be wall mounted to minimize footprint for space efficiency as well as stability. Must come with LCD screen to display numerical height readouts for immediate documentation. Must be able to convert between three display formats: inches, feet & inches, and centimeters for enhanced usability. Must have an accuracy of ± 0.1 in (0.1 cm) to ensure accurate readings for various medical assessments and proper medication dosage. Must have automatic turn off for both patient confidentiality as well as power conservation. Must have an anodized aluminum rail construction for durability and longevity. The list of wheelchair scales and height rods characteristics is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive, of the supplies/services that are required. For instances where your company can meet the SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS requirement(s), please show how your company meets/exceeds each requirement. (2) Please review the list of SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS requirements and provide any additional feedback or suggestions. If none, please reply as N/A. (16) Does your company have a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) GSA/NAC/SAC/BPA/NASA SEWP or any other Federal Government contract? If so, please provide the contract number(s).
