(ii) The solicitation number 36C26225Q0967 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) in conjunction with FAR -- Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Government intends to award a single, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) award contract. (iii) The provisions and clauses in this document are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2025-03, January 1, 2025. (iv) This solicitation will be unrestricted, to a business associated with The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code, 339112, and the Small Business Administration s (SBA) size standard of 1,000 employees. (v) The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) seeks to make a procurement for a bone mill set for the VA San Diego HCS. This solicitation is being procured as a brand name or equal IAW 52.211-6 -- Brand Name or Equal. The submissions must meet the following salient characteristics: Salient Characteristics for Bone Mill Set Cartridge must be able to mechanically remove tissue from bone prior to milling. Must have a high volume catch tray up to 120cc and be removable. Surface area of the cartridge must be transparent for visibility while processing. Design must enable safe access to residual bone for maximal yield. Catch tray must sit flat and upright when in use in or order to be able to mix. Bone mill set must accommodate different sizes of milling blades to include fine (bone particulate up to 3.2mm), medium (bone particulate up to 5.0 mm) and coarse (bone particulate up to 8.0mm). Must be able to operate with the CORE 2 Console currently in use at the VA San Diego.
