Maricopa County (County) intends to create a pool of pre-qualified individuals to provide appraisal services in support of the County, its officers, and employees (County) and County Special Districts such as the Flood Control District, Library District, and Stadium District (Districts). The appraisal services will support acquisition and disposition programs and may include representation of the County and/or Special Districts in litigation. To this end, the County will enter into contracts with qualified appraisal firms and sole-proprietor appraisers who, from time-to-time, may be called upon to provide appraisal services regarding a specific matter according to the terms fixed by the contract. Work shall be assigned by the County on an as-needed basis to perform the specific tasks necessary to meet the needs of the agency and the project at which time fee schedules are established (must furnish, at contractor’s sole cost and expense, all equipment, materials, supplies, and incidentals as required to perform the appraisal services). At any time, the County has the right to ask a firm or individual for additional qualification information including, but not limited to, a presentation of redacted appraisal products. Firms may be required to submit the qualifications of available staff at the time of assignment so the County can evaluate resources to determine the most qualified appraiser for any particular assignment. (Individuals and/or firms may, at the County’s sole discretion, be precluded from performing work on behalf of the County for specific assignments. There is no guarantee that individuals approved for the pool will be assigned work. UPON AWARD OF THIS CONTRACT, CONTRACTORS ARE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW ALL COUNTY POLICIES.
