The purpose of this document is to solicit proposals from suitably qualified and experienced construction contractors for both scheduled and emergency concrete canal lining and small structure repair and replacement projects (Project) on the Colorado River Irrigation Project (CRIP) near Parker, AZ. The Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) are working in coordination with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Colorado River Agency, to procure services for scheduled and emergency repairs to canal lining and small structures on the CRIP. This Request for Proposal (RFP) document provides a description of the Project, including scope, time limitations, and performance requirements.
Summary of Project Scope: The Project requires the repair and replacement of concrete canal lining, headwalls, and simple canal structures. The following is a brief description of the contract requirements. More detail is provided in Sections 3 and 4. The contractor must:
• remove sediment and debris, prepare cofferdams, and dewater the canal where necessary for repairs to canal lining at the bottom of the canal (BIA will perform this work if the contractor is unable to provide the required equipment);
• breakout and removal of damaged canal lining and other small canal structures;
• clean and prepare repair sites for the application of sprayed concrete;
• apply and finish sprayed concrete;
• clean up site
