Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Lower Yukon School District (LYSD) Pitkas Point School was closed due to low enrollment in 2013. In April 2016, LYSD provided notice of excess buildings. The Alaska Department of Education & Early Development (DEED) is seeking to terminate the lease for the school property; under terms of the lease, the property is to be vacated with the premises in a clean, neat, and presentable condition satisfactory to the Lessor. The ADOT&PF is the contracting agency and the project includes demolition and removal of buildings, utilities, and other site improvements at the Pitkas Point School Site including removal/remediation of all hazardous materials in accordance with state and federal regulations. The project also includes excavation and removal of hydrocarbon-impacted soil at the site in accordance with an ADEC-approved workplan with a goal of obtaining ‘cleanup complete’ status for the property.
