Specifications include, but are not limited to: Scenario #1: Provider can perform all opioid treatment services in the areas listed to include bridging or tapering of methadone or buprenorphine in detainees for up to 30 days. Detainees must have been prescribed methadone or buprenorphine prior to being incarcerated and are prescribed for the treatment of an opiate use disorder, not for pain. Scenario #2: Provider can perform services listed in scenario #1 but select only the locations they are interested in servicing. This can include more than one location but if some locations are outside of the servicing area of the provider, then you can choose only to service the locations within the geographic areas you wish to serve.
