Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Kenai requires the following mental health services under the City of Kenai’s Mental Health Services Program related to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency: A. The Contractor provides mental health counseling services to eligible individuals under the City of Kenai’s Mental Health Services Program related to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. B. The Contractor will provide up to six counseling sessions paid for by the City of Kenai (after application of any insurance coverage held by the individual) for mental health counseling services, limited to assist individuals affected by the public health emergency. C. The City would pay the Contractor for services not covered by the participating individual’s insurance (if applicable), including co-pays or deductibles, limited to six counseling sessions. Any counseling sessions past the six covered by the City’s program would be at the sole discretion of the individual and the Contractor, separate from the City’s payment for services. D. The Contractor may provide the counseling services in person, telephonically or online, whatever is appropriate for the individual while adhering to safe practices for providing the services during the public health emergency. The decision as to delivery method for the services shall be at the discretion of the Contractor and participants. E. The Contractor is encouraged to use professional counselors based in Kenai but is not excluded from engaging trained professionals from outside Kenai to provide the services, particularly for online or telephonic counseling sessions.
