The City of Seward Electric Department invites qualified GIS and electric utility inspection consultants to submit proposals for a comprehensive field inspection and data update of its Geographic Information System (GIS). The successful consultant will inspect approximately 52 miles of transmission lines and 1,178 distribution poles across approximately 14 square miles, updating critical infrastructure details such as poles, transformers, electric vaults, capacitors, overhead conductors, electric meters, fault indicators, fuses, light poles, normal open points, reclosers, underground cables, and joint-use telecom attachments. Additionally, the consultant will provide training and support to City Electric Department staff.
