Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Corrections, Division of Health and Rehabilitation (department) is soliciting proposals for one-time assessment of all sentenced inmates within the department and determine if treatment is recommended regarding the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). In order to ensure consistency, accuracy and expediency of this process, the department is requiring the contractor to use the Co-Triage™ software as this has been endorsed by the ASAM as a benchmark standard for substance use disorder assessments, see below link. https://www.asamcontinuum.org/knowledgebase/what-is-continuum-triage-co-triage/ The department estimates up to 2,400 inmates need to be assessed however this quantity is not guaranteed. The contractor shall provide the following tasks: 1. Provide substance use disorder (SUD) assessments using the ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) CO-Triage computer-guided assessment software. The department will pay for the software license and the contractor shall access the software through the Alaska Automated Information Management System (AKAIMS) website. The department will supply the computer equipment to access the software. The contractor shall not maintain a separate database, remove or copy data, without the project manager’s prior written approval. 2. Work with a multi-discipline treatment team, completing all required documentation and assuring that all state and federal regulations are followed in the process. 3. Meet with department staff as needed to review assessment recommendations.
