The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Division of Administrative Services is soliciting bids to purchase an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) and corresponding software to support the Alaska Army National Guard (AKARNG) Environmental Compliance and Conservation Programs. The UAS will have a variety of uses within CFMO, including capturing up-to-date aerial imagery of the AKARNG facilities, surveying building conditions in inaccessible areas, documenting the surrounding property and any supplemental information that will contribute to maintaining environmental compliance within the National Guard Bureau (NGB) framework. The UAS operation, software, and operator must follow both state and federal regulations for drone flights and data collection. In addition, the UAS capabilities will support building 3D models needed for compliance within the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) Sections 106 and 110 standards of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) (1966).
