Specifications include, but are not limited to: Snow Removal: Snow Removal operations shall begin on access ways, parking areas, ADA spaces, and building entrances when two (2) inches of snow has accumulated. Snow removal services shall be completed by the start of the business day or no later than 7:00 AM. On heavy snow days, main access ways, ADA spaces, and entrances must be kept clear of snow throughout the day. Snow cannot be blown at buildings, vehicles or other structures. Wind drifted snow of a depth of two (2) inches or more and snow placed by State/Municipal/other plows at entrances shall be cleared. Sidewalk Snow Maintenance: Sidewalks shall be kept free and clear of snow/ice and shall be kept in broom clean condition throughout the hours of normal business operations (7am – 6pm). Initial shoveling and application of ice melt shall be completed prior to 6:30AM. All sidewalks, sidewalk curbs, walkways and striped areas, stairs, door entries, ADA parking spaces, and building entrances must be kept clear of snow continuously throughout the day with ice melt applied as needed. Ice melt is to be applied in quantities as needed with excess ice melt removed from building and sidewalks when conditions are dry. Ice melt shall not accumulate against building or other finishes, contractor is responsible for damage caused by excessive application. Sanding: Sanding shall be on an “on-call” basis. The Contractor shall recommend appropriate times to sand or apply rock salt and/or respond to calls for sanding or applying rock salt by the Contract Administrator Scraping: Scraping shall be on an “on-call” basis by the Contract Administrator. Contractor shall scrape ice and snow from pavement. All scraping activities shall be scheduled with site staff to allow vehicles to be vacated prior to onset.
