Extend 8-inch diameter Haines Borough Public Water System (PWS) water line from end of water line on Bear Trail Lane (near fire hydrant FH 0289) to end of water line on Small Tracts Road (near fire hydrant FH 0160) i. Approximate water main length is 4,200 feet ii. Approximately 32 lots may be served b. Verify/reestablish existing Right-of-Ways (RoW) and/or easements along these alignments i. 50 feet on Bear Trail Lane ii. 100 feet on Small Tracts Spur and Small Tracts Road iii. Verify location of existing roadways and utilities within RoW / easements iv. Preferred alignment on the “inside” of this loop c. This water line will be located in the FAA Road Pressure Zone i. Base of FAA Road tank situated at elevation 270 feet with maximum water depth of 35.5 feet ii. Calculate static pressures along proposed alignments d. Appurtenances: i. Corporation and curb stops for each lot (this extension may serve approximately 32 lots) ii. Fire hydrants – approximately 7 to 12 hydrants iii. Appropriate valving and Tees for future expansion 1. South down Small Tracts Road to Mud Bay Road, near Carr’s Cove 2. McPhetres Road – Additive Alternate A (below) 2. Additive Alternate A – McPhetres Road Water Line Extension a. Extend water line west along McPhetres Road to last house on existing road – Lot 26B, Wilkins Subdivision i. Approximate water main length 700 feet ii. Approximately 6 lots may be served b. Verify/reestablish existing Right-of-Ways (RoW) and/or easements along these alignments i. 30 feet on McPhetres Road ii. Verify location of existing roadways and utilities within RoW / easements c. This water line to be located in the FAA Road Pressure Zone i. Base of FAA Road tank located at 270 feet elevation and with maximum water depth of 35.5 feet ii. Calculate static pressures along proposed alignment. Determine if pressure reducing valves (PRVs) will be required d. Appurtenances: i. Corporation and curb stops for each lot (this extension may serve approximately 6 lots) ii. Fire hydrants – approximately 1 or 2 hydrants
