Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Contractor shall maintain the trails by a method which will cope with loose powder snow, hard ice, wet snow, packed and drifted snow, uphill and downhill grades and other snow surface irregularities. b. Contractor shall remove windfalls, litter, debris and fecal matter from the trails and dispose of all materials in an appropriate and responsible manner. c. Contractor shall provide a telephone hotline with a description of trail conditions and grooming schedules and update information at least three (3) times per week. d. Contractor shall repair within 24 hours any damages caused by the Contractor, or its employees, agents, or subcontractor, to the trail system or facilities incorporated into this contract. All such repairs shall be done in accordance with the contractor duties as specified under this agreement. e. Contractor shall keep all brush cleared back to allow a 16-foot wide trail and prune all over hanging limbs and vegetation to 8 feel above the trail.f. Contractor shall maintain a level and packed skating lane 12 to 14 feet wide on all trails. g. Contractor shall maintain and re-establish as necessary, a classic track on all trails. Tracks are to be dragged, packed, leveled, set with a track depth of 1 to 2 inches and 9 inches from center to center and will provide an adjacent packed area for ski pole setting.h. Contractor shall maintain a classic track on each side of the skate lane on “Main Street”, “Mama’s Cut-off” and “Low Road”, thereby allowing two-way traffic on these portions of the Beach Lake Trails.i. Contractor shall maintain a 30 to 40-foot wide skate lane with a minimum of two classical tracks around the perimeter of the soccer/stadium stagingarea at Chugiak High School.j. Contractor shall place and maintain snow in both tunnels to the Beach Lake Trails.
