Specifications include, but are not limited to: Updates and model improvements are necessary to support the transportation demand models, to develop consistent regional planning assumptions, and to facilitate reliable forecasting of the regional travel patterns. This work is required to occur by June of 2022 to enable the analysis of future scenarios required in both the AMATS Metropolitan Transportation Master Plan and process. Geographic Scope for Planning Work: The study area is defined as the AMATS boundary; the primary focus is on travel patterns and behaviors within the Anchorage Bowl as well as regional connections (See Attachment A). Origins and destinations extend beyond AMATS. The study area is also bordered by Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), the Native Village of Eklutna, and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough (See Attachment A).
