Glass All replacement glass and parts furnished shall be equal to original factory equipment and must meet the requirements of the American National Standard Institute (ANSI)/Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Safety Standard Z26.1-1996 (Safety Glazing Materials for Glazing Motor Vehicles and Motor Vehicle Equipment Operating on Land Highways) and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 205 (Glazing Materials), and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J674-Nov 90, (Safety Glazing Materials - Motor Vehicles), as amended. B. Poly-Urethane Sealer, Drive-Away Time 1) Contractor must use a poly-urethane sealer suitable to allow a guaranteed 2-4 hour drive away time after installation of the glass. 2) Fret and Pinch Weld are to be thoroughly cleaned and primed prior to installation of replacement glass. C. Sealers and Installation Procedures 1) All installations are to use sealers and installation procedures mandated by Federal Government Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 212, 208 & 216). 2) Contractor is to provide to the MOA Purchasing department, upon accepting the contract, the Safe Drive Away Time Chart for the specific urethane the Contractor will use for installations provided under the contract.
