The Municipality of Skagway is accepting bids for the Ore Peninsula Limited Slope Removal. The WORK covered in the Contract Documents generally includes: removal and disposal of sediment from the slope adjacent to the Cruise Ship Float to prevent future grounding of the float. All work must conform to the requirements provided in the bid documents. Work includes removal of sediment from the Limits of Removal, coordinating with the Engineer that will sample the sediment for characterization purposes, storing the sediment in watertight containers in the adjacent Ore Terminal, and disposal of the sediment at either a permitted Subtitle D landfill or at a beneficial use site in Skagway, as directed by the Owner, plus any ancillary work to complete and document the work (e.g. environmental controls, surveying).
