Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Native Village of Chitina (NVC) is planning to build a new one-floor facility that is planned to cover an area of 5,000 square feet, with approximate length of 84 feet and approximate width of 64 feet. This proposed building will be home to a large percentage of NVC programs, such as Social Services, Behavioral Healthcare, Housing Assistance, Education Department, EPA/IGAP, Training Center, and elder services. The primary objective of this new building is to provide NVC with the necessary office space to expand in line with their Strategic Plan. Below are the technical requirements of the building for which the NVC has expressed a desire. The Consultant shall confirm building requirements with the NVC before proceeding with design development. In the appendix is a mockup floor plan the council created to express their desires for the new building. The Consultant must be willing to travel to Chitina for in-person coordination with the Tribe. A. Technical Requirements a. Office Space i. NVC desires eleven 10 x10 offices with a 4-foot hallway (or that meets ADA requirements): 1. Administrator office - 1 office 2. Accounting office – 3 cubicles 3. Administration Office – 3 cubicles 4. Tribal Justice – 3 cubicles 5. Social Services Office – 3 cubicles 6. Natural Resources – 1 office 7. Behavioral Health 1 office 8. Maintenance – 2 cubicles 9. Daycare 10. File Room 11. TBD ii. There shall be one conference room for council meetings and for Tribal Court to hear cases brought before it. iii. The conference room and offices require soundproofing to protect legal phone calls and discussions. b. Main Hall i. NVC has expressed preference for an area measuring approximately 54 feet in length by 34 feet in width, providing ample space for big gatherings such as an Annual Meeting. ii.
