Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor will provide technical assistance to the Alaska Food PolicyCouncil (AFPC) and the State of Alaska Obesity Prevention and Control Program(OPCP) Community and Evaluation Specialist, hereafter referred to as the"Project Director." The contractor shall report to the Project Director and shallwork closely with the AFPC Governing Board and other designated AFPCmembers.The contract support will include:Providing technical assistance and expertise to the Project Director andAFPC regarding a comprehensive action planning process and itsimplementation, ongoing monitoring, and evaluation.Assist in the development of a 3-year AFPC Action Plan, which couldinclude, but not be limited to gathering information from partners,coordinating planning meetings, facilitating action planning, summarizingthe results from meetings and other data gathering activities.Group facilitation could include, but not be limited to meetingfacility/teleconference arrangements, providing travel arrangements,leading the action planning process, recording and distributing meetingminutes, providing the supplies to conduct meetings, meeting notificationand reminders to all participants.Develop interim and final drafts of the action plan, including layout anddesign.Applicants must demonstrate in their proposal an understanding of and their pastinvolvement in the action planning process with statewide advocacy groups andmust also demonstrate their ability to produce a report and disseminate toappropriate agencies and grantees.
