Specifications include, but are not limited to: Road grading: Grade Salmon River Road (MP 4.5 – 12) as required to provide a reasonably smooth driving surface and safe road. Grading may require periodic application of surface material and calcium chloride. Grading to be performed approximately four times per year, as needed. Snow Plowing: Plow snow on Salmon River Road from the Canadian border through the town site. Plow snow on Salmon River Spur and the Hyder Causeway. Plow as needed to provide safe, passable roads. Apply abrasives to improve traction where needed. Pavement Maintenance: Repair minor potholes and cracks in pavement using cold patch and/or crack seal material as required. Sign Maintenance: Straighten, repair, or replace signs as necessary (DOT&PF to provide signs). Drainage Maintenance: Maintain culverts and ditches to allow free flow of water. Shoulder Maintenance: Maintain shoulders and slopes to preserve the roadway. Brush Cutting: Cut vegetation that encroaches on right of way and obstructs sight distance, drainage, or passage of vehicles. Litter Control: Remove litter as required.
