The Council has four quarterly meetings a year that are open to public comment and testimony. Each of the quarterly meetings is scheduled to last two days. The Council has one programmatic meeting a year that is typically not open for public comment. This meeting is only scheduled for one day. Notes for all CDVSA meetings must be organized in a clean, easy to follow manner with quality minutes. Below are the elements required for the council meeting minutes transcribed: 1. All transcribed meeting minutes shall follow Robert’s Rules of Order; 2. The meeting minutes shall not be transcribed verbatim, except for public comment and testimony, which must be transcribed in full verbatim; 3. Minutes must be organized with action items and bullet points; 4. Meeting narrative shall be concise with clearly identified discussion topics; 5. Acronyms shall be consistent with the Chicago Manual of Style; 6. Abbreviations are expected for degrees, titles and merits used with proper nouns. Commonly known abbreviations such as a.m. / p.m. or those used for measurement are acceptable. No other abbreviations will be permitted.
