Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Contractor(s) shall, when requested by the Compliance/EEO Office, provide employment and education interpreter services as follows: a. Provide services by individuals who are proficient in ASL. Proposals will only be accepted from contractors who can provide services from certified (all levels) individuals. b. Sign-in upon arrival at each assignment and sign-out at the completion of each assignment. c. Arrive at the assigned location and wait for fifteen (15) minutes before declaring a “no show”. d. ASL Interpreters will inform those who are receiving ASL interpreter services that services are for the approved time only. e. In the event that Interpreters believe the job assignment will require longer time than the approved time allotted, Interpreters will need to obtain prior approval from the Compliance/EEO Office before continuing their services. f. In the event that Interpreters do not receive prior approval from the Compliance/EEO Office before continuing their services, it will be understood that the Interpreter/Contractor may be at risk of not being paid for the additional time that was not pre-approved. g. Assigned sign language interpreters should not depend on advance delivery of information for services being rendered.
