Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. General: The vendor must have safe, clean and reliable transportation capabilities with the ability to provide timely shuttle services between the locations noted in the Scope Summary. The vendor must also have the ability to adjust to changes in schedule and rider requirements, including frequency and volume changes. This is accomplished through frequent communication between the Contractor and the Project Manager. The Bidder acknowledges that the County cannot determine in advance the exact number of employees to be transported. B. Equipment: 42 passenger bus, 33 passenger mini bus, or 25 passenger mini bus (I.E. no school buses) or any combination thereof. Size of bus may vary with passenger load and can be coordinated with the Project Manager. C. Vehicle Malfunction: The vendor shall be able to respond to vehicle mechanical malfunctions and accidents within a timely manner. The vendor shall notify the County by phone. The vendor shall keep sufficient standby vehicles to enable the vendor to meet his requirement. D. Drivers: The County expects that there will be consistency in drivers assigned to routes outlined in the contract. The driver must be thoroughly familiar with the area and routes. The vendor shall maintain a sufficient number of substitute drivers to cover shuttle service when a driver is absent. E. Pricing: The vendor should include pricing for all support including the count and types of vehicles for transportation between the defined locations. F. Route Planning: The vendor will work with “Jefferson County” to develop a shuttle routing schedule for an approximate five mile perimeter.
