Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide state-of-the-art instructional and research
classroom and laboratory space to enable cross-departmental collaboration and innovation in direct support of the State’s
economic development priorities through the strategic co-location of departments within the College of Sciences and
Mathematics (COSAM) and the College of Agriculture. The University submitted a proposal to the State of Alabama for
this project and was recently notified that it will receive partial funding. The proposed project will also facilitate a longstanding effort to replace STEM-related and agricultural science facilities that have exceeded their useful life and are
inadequate in terms of size, accessibility, and modern functionality.
